This week I'm blessed to be on Spring Break!! Spring break comes with spring cleaning, and I'm a dork enough to admit that I kind of enjoy it. I do. I really do. Also, it's not a coincidence that I schedule a spring cleaning day on a day I know that Dr. Who will be out of the house...as he is also on spring break and gets in the way can be super helpful in other ways at other times.
Today I'm tackling cobwebs. I recently happened to glance up and see that the corners of my little house seem to be quite covered in wispy cobwebs.
Friends....
Where there are cobwebs....
There are....
Sp...
Sp...
Spiii...
I can't even say it. Let's just say that I found a huge dead one in a bucket today and did a spectacular "bug dance" across my porch.
Ew.
I was trying to figure out a better way to tackle the cobwebs than just attacking them with a broom, so I grabbed an elastic microfiber cloth from Dr. Who's stash of car-cleaning supplies and simply attached it to the end of the broom. It works great!
The broom was plenty long enough to reach into corners and along the edge of the ceiling. It was tricky at first to keep the cloth on there, but I found that if you adjust it more to one corner of the broom then it will stay on better.
When you are done, you simply take it off and toss it in the wash with a load of towels!
The cloths are called microfiber bonnets, they are used for buffers but you can buy them cheaply at places like Harbor Freight.
It's spring break, so instead of "Calm Down"I think we should all just hang around in our jammies, drink some iced coffee and watch The Music Man.
