1,000 Hits Anniversary Post

Today is the day!

What day?

Today we will celebrate our 1,000th visit to Calm Down Friends!

Wow.

You should all probably stop wasting so much time on the internet.

Just kidding....

Calm Down Everyone.

I thought this would be a great day for an AWESOME outfit post! You know how amazing my outfit post skillz are becoming. I hope I don't disappoint you today.

.......

Oh, did I forget to mention that my water has been cut off all day?

Well it's true. You need water for many things. When you don't have running water...well you have to maybe get creative so that you don't have to get in the car and drive to Harris Teeter to use the restroom.  You also don't get to shower.

So this is what I wore today. I wore what I slept in last night, plus a hoodie so I could greet the plumber and my landlady at the door this morning. Let's do this properly though...

Oh yeah...the flash is on. Aaaaand it's mirror image so good luck reading the print!

I don't want you to think that I am sleeping in this shirt because I don't value it, it's just so incredibly comfy and well, around here sometimes the lines get blurred between what are sleepy shirts and what are every day shirts. We like to keep it classy at ALL times here at my homestead.

I do have very strict rules about my moccasins. They are slippers. Slippers are not to be worn outside of the house, though walking to and from the house to the laundry room (located on the porch..again..keeping it classy at all times...) is acceptable.

Well I hope this post has inspired you to stay at home in your comfy clothes and fold some laundry! It took me the entire Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 to sort out the clothes belonging to 2 people. Time to downsize? I think so.

As I write this sentence, we need 9 more hits to make it to 1,000 so here's what I'm going to do. The first 9 people to comment will get a shout-out on Calm Down Friends!

Rules

Comment below and tell us your favorite movie or tv show to fold laundry to. The first 9 people will get a personalized shout-out from Elissa and Bonnie...or Bonnie and Elissa...or maybe just Bonnie...or maybe just Elissa. The possibilities are endless. We reserve the right to decide how and when this happens.

Example: Hi, I'm Bonnie and I like to fold laundry while watching Wizards of Waverly Place..err...I mean Downton Abbey.

Also, KEEP IT CLEAN.

Your excitement is almost unbearable, I can feel it.
You guys are the best, we love sharing our ridiculous lives with you!
Keep reading, and we will keep sharing.

Calm Down

Bonnie

  7. I love your blog dear ones.. brings a smile to my heart!
OK girls, does listening to the whir of the dryer calm your spirit as it does mine? Actually, as the mom of six "laundry mountain" was one of my favorite places to pray for years! Nothing like praying for the ones that wear the clothes you are folding and washing and folding etc...:)..It occurred to me one day that folding is a great time to pray! So that is what I do pray for my babies, my husband, and grand babies while I fold. The chore becomes a sweet time. Actually though not a fan of dirty laundry or the dreaded one sock basket, (do not get me started!)I love clean laundry, kind of the spa experience of household chores for me :)
Also being a New Hampshire girl, anything that got me some warmth was always a welcome delight..warm clothes from the dryer and the smell of Downy...yes!! aromatherapy for the busy homemaker!
Well need to go...(really) the dryer buzzer just went off time to fold!
